About AMEIA
AMEIA is owned and managed by Andrew Mahon. With academic qualifications in ecology and business studies, Andrew is a Principal EIA Practitioner on the IEMA Register and has more than 30 years of experience of environmental impact assessment. He has worked in industry, in EIA consultancy and in a planning authority, and understands the perspectives of all stakeholders in the EIA process. He has been involved in more than 140 projects in a wide variety of sectors, including nuclear energy, onshore and offshore wind farms, solar parks, electricity interconnectors, airports, the motor industry, energy from waste, residential development, mixed use schemes, commercial developments and corporate HQs, sport, water and wastewater, education, healthcare, waste and leisure.
Andrew specialises in authoring high quality, cost-effective environmental statements, blending technical and esoteric reports from specialists into a concise and accessible EIA report that can be understood by the public, decision makers, consultees, specialist agencies and other stakeholders. Accessible environmental statements that comply with legislative requirements provide a useful planning tool that gives the client’s project the best chance of success.
